Overview

Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè was founded durring the early 11th century, by Hëil. The establishment of Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè suffered from several major issues, resulting in the need to develop many solutions to basic problems. Problems such as a lack of fresh water, logistical support, poor quality tools, and the odd monster or two. Howeaver, these were overcome in time.

Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè was built using the conventions of Iron Elf durring the early 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè is buildings are arranged arround a network of narrow worn bedrock streets which form a diamond shaped grid, where each diamond verries in size given the proximity of the paralell streets forming each section. The ocasional smaller diamond has been used to construct a park, plaza, and other communal structures. The city is the proud owner of a thick set of fortified walls fashioned from querried stone blocks. While not up to snuff for a fort or castle wall, the city's walls are naturaly much larger than those of forts or castles. Therefore, the construction such a wall is most expencive. Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè's buget focused wall would serve its community well in battle in spite of looking unimpressive compared to castles and fortresses. Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè's top tier civilian fortifications are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Before you’ve even set foot into the heart of Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè, you can smell it. The incense. It hangs about the town like a cloud. Monks, priests, and clerics are everywhere, all dedicated to the same divine, all performing the same rituals to bless and anoint buildings, streets, people, animals, you name it they are or have blessed it. The same holy symbol is everywhere too. Its on buildings, on people, and even branded into livestock. This certainly loves its divine. Asside form the revrent worship, you can see the citizens are preparing for something, and that something isn’t good. Weapons are worn openly. Defensive structures have been recently constructed to guard less used areas of the city. Merchants seem very eager to sell their wares at discount prices. Something is coming.

History

In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the late 2nd century, Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè was attacked by savage tribes living nearby Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè lost 268 people, 150 livestock, and 30 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 222, when members of Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè's militia enacted an operation to train a group of civilians for a special clandestine operation. The operation was complicated by one of the key objectives in the operation requiring sticking to a very strict and short time table. The conflict ended with the defense of the research site against a siege, which ended in defeat for Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Êkèkê Pithêv-thêkè's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
